Showcase Records

Overview

Showcase Records allow users to create visually engaging, public or private galleries of digital assets. They function as presentation tools for sharing curated collections—whether for product visuals, historical archives, or marketing campaigns.

The current Showcase functionality is centered around the Gallery type, which enables users to build customizable, public-facing views of assets linked to a specific Dwelling. This allows assets from any folder or source to be grouped into a coherent and polished presentation.

By using Showcases, teams can share, promote, or collaborate on selected content using intuitive and visually impactful tools.

Display Options

Showcase Records are presented in a list view with minimal customization. Users can control how many records are shown per page.

The following columns appear in the list:

• Showcase: The name of the record
• Link: A button that opens the showcase gallery in a new tab
• Dwelling: The Dwelling associated with this Showcase

Key Fields

• Name: Internal identifier for the Showcase
• Title: Displayed as the main heading on the public gallery
• Subtitle: Optional subheading providing context or emphasis
• Description: Describes the purpose or contents of the Showcase
• Slug: Forms the unique URL path for the public link
• Domain: Sets the domain where the Showcase will be published
• Categorization Type: Determines how assets are grouped or filtered (e.g., by metadata category)
• Dwelling: The source Dwelling from which assets are pulled into the gallery
• Profile: Metadata Profile that defines how metadata is structured and displayed in the public gallery
• Showcase Template: Selects the layout and visual style for the gallery
• Visibility: Toggle to make the Showcase public (accessible to all) or private (restricted)

Relationships

• Dwelling: The assigned Dwelling determines which assets appear in the Showcase
• Assets: Indirectly related through the linked Dwelling
• Metadata: Indirectly related via assigned Categorization Type
• Metadata Profile: Controls metadata presentation in the gallery view
