How to Create a Folder
Overview
This guide shows you how to create one or more folders in your library. Folders help organize digital assets and access control can be set for structured collaboration and internal sharing.
Before You Start
- You must have permission to create folders in the desired location.
- Ensure you're in the correct node (folder level) where the new folder should be created.
- You can create one or multiple folders at once within the same parent node.
Steps to Create a Folder
- Navigate to the location in the Library where you want to create the new folder.
- Click the “New Folder” action from the folder actions menu (at top right-hand side).
- Enter the name for your new folder.
- To create multiple folders at once, click “+ Add Folder” and repeat step 3 for each additional folder.
- Click “Create” to finalize folder creation.
Tips
- You can edit a folder after creation to move it, rename it, or change its customization settings.
- Permissions may limit whether you can see or use the "New Folder" action. Contact your administrator if it's not available.
- The Upload Folder feature also supports creating folder hierarchies automatically—uploading a folder with subfolders from your device will recreate that structure in the Library.
