How to Create a Showcase
Showcases allow you to create public or private galleries of digital assets for external sharing. By linking a showcase to a Dwelling, you can present curated collections of assets in a visually engaging format. This is ideal for product visuals, marketing campaigns, or stakeholder presentations.
Accessing Showcases
- Navigate to the Share section in the left-hand menu
- Select Showcases
The showcase list displays the following columns:
- Showcase: The name of the showcase
- Link: Click Open to view the external showcase URL
- Dwelling: The Dwelling connected to the showcase
Click anywhere on a row (except the Open button) to edit the showcase. Use the three-dot menu on the right for quick actions: Edit or Delete.
Creating a Showcase
- Click the + New button at the top right
- Complete the showcase form:
- Name (required): Internal identifier for the showcase
- Title: Displayed as the main heading on the public gallery
- Subtitle: Optional subheading for additional context
- Description: Describes the purpose or contents of the showcase
- Slug (required): Forms the unique URL path for the public link (no spaces allowed)
- Password: Leave empty for no password protection, or set a password to require viewers to authenticate before accessing
- Categorization Type: Choose No Categorization or Metafield
- Dwelling (required): Select the Dwelling from which assets will be pulled
- Profile (required): Select a metadata profile to control what asset information is displayed
- Showcase Template (required): Select a template for the gallery layout
- Public: Toggle on to make the showcase accessible externally, or leave off for private (inaccessible externally)
- Save the showcase
Using Categorization
When you select Metafield as the categorization type, you can choose a custom metafield (up to two levels). This creates grouped navigation on the showcase, allowing external viewers to browse assets organised by that metafield's values.
Viewing a Showcase
To view a showcase externally:
- Click the Open button in the Link column from the showcase list, or
- Navigate directly to the showcase URL using the slug you defined
Note: The showcase must be set to Public to be accessible externally. If a password is set, viewers must enter it before the showcase content is displayed.
Editing a Showcase

- Update the fields as needed
- Save your changes
