How to Change an Asset Thumbnail

Overview

The thumbnail of an asset is the visual preview displayed throughout the platform, including in the library, search results, and shared views like Portals and Showcases. Customizing the thumbnail helps ensure the asset is easily identifiable and well-presented across contexts.

How to Set or Change the Thumbnail

  1. Navigate to the asset in any asset view (Library, Metadata, Dwelling, or Search Results).
  2. Open the Asset Actions menu (⋯) for the asset.
  3. Select Thumbnail.
  4. Choose one of the following:
    • Crop – A cropped version of the image is used for the thumbnail.
    • No Crop – The full image is scaled to fit without cropping.
  5. Save your selection. The thumbnail will update immediately.

Note: Thumbnail updates are available for individual assets only and cannot be done in bulk.
