Selecting assets is the first step to performing actions on your files in Data Dwell. Whether you need to download, edit, move, or delete content, you'll start by selecting one or more assets from the Library, search results, or a Dwelling.
To select an individual asset, click the checkbox on the asset thumbnail (in grid view) or the checkbox at the start of the row (in list view). Once selected, a checkmark appears and the asset is highlighted.
With a single asset selected, you can use the actions available via the asset actions menu on the asset itself.
You can select multiple assets to perform bulk actions. The method varies slightly depending on your current view.
You can also select assets one at a time by clicking each checkbox individually.
Click the checkbox on each asset you want to select. Grid view does not support shift-click range selection.
Note: Map view only supports viewing and interacting with one asset at a time—multi-select is not available in this view.
At the top left of the library view, you'll find options to Select All or Deselect All. Use these to quickly select every asset in the current view or clear your selection entirely.
The library view header also includes options for sorting, adjusting grid size, and switching between list, grid, and map views.
When you select multiple assets, a menu appears at the bottom of the screen displaying available bulk actions. The actions shown depend on your user permissions and may include:
If an action is not visible, it may be restricted by your user group settings. Contact your administrator if you need access to additional actions.
