How to Set Your Date and Time Formats

Choose how dates and times are shown to you in Data Dwell, and which time zone they are shown in. These settings only affect what you see. Other users keep their own settings.

Steps to Set Your Formats

  1. Click your initials or profile photo in the top right corner and select My Profile.
  2. In the Tab dropdown, select Date & Time.
  3. Choose your formats and time zone (see below). Each option shows an example using the current date and time.
  4. Click Save.

The Settings

  • Time Format: used where only a time is shown. Choose 24-hour or 12-hour (am/pm), with or without seconds.
  • Date Format: used where only a date is shown, for example in asset lists.
  • Date & Time Format: used where both are shown together, for example in history. Choose the date order (such as day/month/year, month/day/year or year-month-day) and the time style.
  • Time Zone: the time zone that dates and times are shown in.

Tips

  • If you work with colleagues in other countries, a year-month-day format such as 2026-09-30 avoids confusion between day and month.
  • If times look an hour or more off, check your Time Zone.
